Prayer
First off, I would to thank everyone who helped with the prayer service yesterday! It is beyond encouraging to talk to our Lord and Savior as one loving spiritual family. Everyone did an amazing job as usual and we all should be thankful to have such an amazing church. Whether in the pulpit or behind the scenes it is clear that we each use our God-given gifts to the best of our ability when it comes to encouraging one another and showing zeal for our Lord. For this week, let us learn from Hezekiah in 2 Kings 19:14-19 and go to the Lord in prayer.
Our all-powerful Lord and Savior,
You are the maker Heaven and Earth. Glory is Your name; mercy, love, grace, and wisdom are Your spirit. We thank You for giving us the opportunity to come to You in prayer this day here on Earth, but we cannot wait until the day that we can be with You in eternal peace. As Maker and Ruler over all, You know our hearts and our actions. We come to You in hope that we will use Your loving word and ideals to spread Your message on this day and every day. You are the only one who can truly take away our worries and give us a fresh perspective of content in our lives. With You there is true love and joy, and so it is with You that we put our faith to guide our hearts.
We thank You for taking away our pain, for giving us new hope and growing our spiritual family. We thank You for the sacrifice of Your son so that we may not only experience Your glory in this temporary life on Earth but for all eternity. We love you Lord and we praise Your holy name this day! Please continue to grant us Your wisdom and grace so that we may use it to honor You in all that we do. Please help us see the truth and grow Your light, for there is no better purpose than to serve You with an open heart. Grant us safe passage this week and please accept our burdens as well as our love and undying gratitude for You.
It is in Your most Holy name we pray,
Amen!
